AirBank™ automates the entire process of unused ticket management for both online and traditional travel agent booked transactions. AirBank™ is a very successful travel management tool discovering and cataloging, on average, over $200,000 of unused tickets for our clients every month.

AirBank™ helps you as a client find and retain the value of your unused tickets by performing the following functions:

  • Proactively sends a 72 hour pre-trip alert email to the traveler and/or travel coordinator notifying of an upcoming non-refundable trip. The email advises traveler or coordinator to contact their travel management agent if there are any known changes or scheduling problems with the booked flight. This helps preserve the value of the ticket as some airlines require additional procedures be completed prior to the departure date of the originally booked flight.

  • Continuously audits all ticketing activity by both Christopherson Business Travel's agents and online booking tools and identifies both non-refundable and refundable tickets that go unused. While most competing ticket tracking tools identify non-refundable unused electronic tickets, very few identify unused refundable electronic tickets also.
  • Extracts all pertinent information from the identified unused tickets is calculated and stored in a central database that is accessible by agents. Residual value of the ticket, validating carrier, and expiration date of the unused ticket is stored in the database.
  • Forces the use of unused tickets by dynamically querying the central database at creation of the new booking and also at the time of ticketing to search for matching unused tickets. If a positive search result is returned, the agent is forced to use the ticket in an exchange or provide, from a list, a reason code for not using the queried unused ticket.
  • Allows integrated report viewing for travel coordinators and company decision makers through Christopherson Business Travel's online reporting tool, iBank
